With over 6 years of experience in skincare therapy and client care, Funmi is the visionary behind Alabeke Beauty Place. Her personal skincare battles gave birth to a brand built on empathy, expertise, and empowerment.
Alabeke was Founded in February 2019 in a cozy studio along Ketu Ikosi Road, Lagos, Nigeria, Alabeke Beauty Place started as a haven for beauty lovers seeking skincare products, makeup, haircare essentials, and authentic human hair wigs. Over time, our founder discovered a deeper passion for skincare, shifting the brand’s focus to cater to the unique needs of melanin-rich skin.
A Journey Across Continents
After two fulfilling years serving loyal customers in Nigeria, life called for a bold move. Our founder relocated to the United Kingdom in pursuit of better opportunities. What followed was a period of transition, uncertainty, and unexpected skincare challenges. From flawless skin to sudden battles with acne, melasma, and sunburn, the shift in climate — especially the UK’s hard water — took a toll.
These struggles became the seed for something new.
Determined not to lose the glow that once defined her skin, our founder reinvented Alabeke Beauty Place. This time, not just as a brand, but as a movement — one that blends African wisdom and modern skincare science, designed to thrive even under Europe’s harshest weather conditions.
